lovin' my new tote...

I had so much fun making this canvas tote.
I enjoy using it everyday
as a purse, and it even carrys my sketchpad and markers.
It is so versatile.

The flowers are ripped scrap canvas that was used for cleaning paint off my brushes from other projects.

This tote holds a lot and hangs well too.
Now I just need to make more in different colors!

Let me know what you think, suggestions are always welcomed!

Now Charlene wants me to take a break and play ball.

Have a Marvelous Monday!

creating a new studio in my new studio...

Good news...
I have a new permanent home!
It's a studio and decorating it has been a fun challenge.
It is so nice to feel "at home" once again, where I belong.
My storage is finally emptied.
All my comforts of home are home.

Its been a long, difficult year.
I learned so much.
Health, attitude and gratitude matter, and health can change in a moment creating a domino effect on the rest of a life. Attitude comes in as how well one can accept and adapt to the ever changing cycle of events.

Some days I did great and some days I sat and had myself a little pitty party.
But the great moments come when I realized people care, when I realized no matter how bad the news, I can and will be able to handle it as long as I know what I am facing.

Life is short and every moment counts.

Oh and I needed a purse so I sewed a canvas one and painted it, thanks to the inspiration of Alisa Burke and her wonderful book Canvas Remix.

Alisa brings my three favorite passions together; sewing and painting and making a mess. I just love her style and highly recommend her book too.

Here's my first painted, canvas purse:

Time to get back to trying to get organized...I'm moving so slow.

Have a great weekend!
