Best Day of the week, Paint Party Friday!

Today is Friday,
which means it's "Paint Party Friday"
And I am posting!
What could be better than that,
except getting to visit all the bloggers playing today.

Thank you Kristin and EVA for hosting
Paint Party Friday
for lots of years now!
It's nice to know this party will be here every Friday
thanks to both of your hard works!

Here's my latest mixed media project on a 20"X24" wrapped canvas.

Sooo...I've not been really happy with my creations lately.
Maybe it's because of this cold/hot weather changes.
It always hurts my body.
Three days ago it was almost 100 degrees.
Today it may hit 70 degrees.
I know a lot of you can understand.

This mixed media piece has been fun and not so fun.
I add, I take away
and I have no idea if it's finished or not.

It needs "something".
I am definitely stuck.
Is anyone else stuck with a piece of artwork?

I love the hummingbirds.

They fight, eat and make cute babies.
Simple.
Here's a female and a youngster heading in to share
the feeder. They don't always fight,

Hope everyone is having a GREAT PPF!!!
Let me know how you get unstuck from a piece you are working on.
Have a GREAT week!
Hugz, Rasz

Love all the bright colours on your canvas! I am stuck regularly on a canvas, and what I do is leave it on the easel where I can see it, and every time I walk past I look at it. Usually after a while I know how to continue, but it can take some time. And if not, I learned in Flora Bowley's workshop to "be brave and bold". Meaning: do something that scares you, make some marks and don't be afraid to ruin everything. It's only another layer, and if you don't like it you can paint over it ... Sometimes I also just try it out with a painting program. I scan it or take a picture, and then I start experimenting with it in Photoshop. You will find a way to finish it, I'm sure! Happy PPF ♥

I once knew a ~Rasz~ on line in FL. I certainly enjoyed seeing all the wildlife. Your artwork is amazing . . I love the shapes and colors. I'm no longer in FL, I'm in OK now. Quite a different perspective. Thank you so much for the visit. Blessings, Janet

Hi Rasz, I love seeing these colorful pieces! As Denthe mentioned, having a piece up, where I can see it/ walk by/ have it whisper to me helps, and maybe just spraying the canvas, or brushing with a damp brush! (No paint) ...
I think of it as "percolating," and, lucky me! In awhile a new idea will arise! ... sometimes I have several canvases going, and alternate which I work on. I also journal, and may ask the piece (especially if it's a "lady,") what it needs next!
Thank you for stopping by my creation station; happy PPF!

Love the colours and textures in your art piece. Just let it look at you till you know what it needs! I finished a piece this year which had been sitting on a chair for 4 years, and suddenly I just knew what I needed to do. Time will tell you! Have a wonderful weekend. It's hot here just now, a wonder after weeks of cold, damp weather. Happy PPF, hugs, Valerie

Rasz I am in love with your colorful painting just as it is!! But only you can know if it feels done to you. When I get stuck I walk away from a piece and sometimes I can finish it up by the next day, and other times... I may have a few of those that have been sitting for a long time;) I love watching the hummingbirds too! You got a lovely photo of them. We only get a few and I have such a hard time trying to get a photo. But at least they come. Happy PPF and happy weekend too!

I think this piece is stunning, and these amazing colours are gorgeous!!! I am like Denthe I keep looking at it until I know. Sometimes I'm just brave and screw it up by over working it. I'm working on a small canvas now that is like that.. I love parts of it...the others parts I can't stand. I keep painting layers...eventually it will get there!! I love this so far though. Sometimes studying the photo on your phone helps you see things you didn't before too!! All the best!!

Oh I think it's beautiful. I too sometimes have problems calling a work done. Sometimes I leave it for a while and come back to it. The hummingbirds are lovely too.

Hi there, you've brought such beautiful colours together on your canvas in such a pleasing way. Yes, I also get stuck but I just leave them for a while, sometimes I put them out of view or not. You're creativity is wonderful :D)
Wow! I'm in awe of the Hummingbirds - what a great shot too!

This piece has a happy bubbly vibe. I get stuck on not starting projects, hopefully summer break will change all that.

I might not have any good advice because to me it looks wonderful--the bright colors, the adventurous textures, the mystery in the words and numbers... just perfect.

The weather has been a bit of a bastard around here, too. And the changes make my bones scream a bit. Your painting--and the brightness--made me smile.

Hey Robin!! Great to see you my friend!! I love your painting! It's so bright and happy!! But, I understand when you say, your painting needs something! Many of times, I am like that too. That's when I have to walk away from it and start another painting. Usually when I do that, something will click and I go back to it! I hope your health is doing better! Big Hugs and Much Love!

Hi Robyn!! I think your mixed media piece looks great! I love all the texture and colors you've used.

Oh my, you know I KNOW what it's like to have weather changes and body aches. It's a terrible time of year, between seasons, when aches just come and go. I hope you are feeling better and your body will calm down.

Can you please email me. I need your snail mail address please. I lost my Blog Book and need to start another one.

Hugs,
Kay
