Coming back to WOYWW! What's on your Workdesk Wednesday..

Hi Everyone!
It's been a long, long time since I posted on WOYWW!
I miss you all and am hoping to become a regular again.

hosted by the awesome Julia Dunnit,
on her blog Stamping Ground!!!
This is #386!

Not only do you get to see what Creatives
near and far are creating,
You also get to see where they create.
And that can give way to some great ideas
and a lot of inspiration.
My spot is a tad messy as usual.

I was working on this:

Everything seemed to be a different tone of the same color,
including my art table.
Although it isn't, The flowers did not belong.
So here it is in transition:

Not sure why
the flowers show through stronger in the pic than they are.
This is an 8"x8" wrapped canvas.
And my table is feeling a little cramped.

It seems I keep pushing everything I have previously used
towards the back of my art table
instead of putting it away.

So there is a finished mixed media painting against the wall.
A cream painted old soap dish I am going to add a little color to,
seal it really good, and call it good!

There are probably ten colors of acrylic paints and six spray bottles
of Tim Holtz Distressed Spray Stain
hiding behind my paint water cup!
I keep the handle on the left of the cup so I don't confuse it'
with my coffee...well that was the plan anyways!

So I am off to visit around the world to say hi to blogging
friends I have not visited in a while!

Happy WYWWW & Have a GREAT day!
Hugs, Rasz

I love seeing people's desks. I feel that the images build a background behind the artwork to be born... it makes it more real. Thanks so much for sharing your space and bits about your process with us, dear Robin! ♥

Oh, what a lovely mixed media canvas. It always surprises me when a photo does not seem to look the same as a project viewed with the naked eye. Sometimes I take a picture so I can decide to add more or alter things again. Thanks for popping by with your generous kind comment. You are right! I should paint my logo somewhere. Thank you for that idea. The winters here are long and who knows what might appear! Keep smiling and creating.

That is totally smart thinking about the handle of the cup, I could totally see ( myself) trying to drink out of it. lol I think everyone does that don't they? well I do anyways push things to the back and or side until I am done. ( I spent a lot of time "cleaning and putting away" after work today so, I had room to start over with the mess making again. Welcome back & thanks for the earlier visit, ~Stacy #48

What a great looking desk! I can just imagine you there getting stuck in and creating those colourful canvases. They look wonderful. I hope you never get the mugs confused! That could taste horrible.

H Rasz, loving the canvas in progress! Yes, it's true, things in photos often appear quite different to what we are looking at with our eyes! The finished canvas looks gorgeous, by the way. And 'push to one side' is a well recognised style of tidying here, lol. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #1 xx

Ha!Ha!Ha!... your entire post had me first grinning, then laughing out loud! I think we may have some of the same DNA - Grin. Let's start with your comment about just pushing everything to the back: I may have a larger space than you but all that means is that I have more room to push things to the back and when I am creating that's what I do. It is so bad that one morning I found myself trying to work on the top of my 10x10 inch stool because every other square inch was covered up in stuff six inches deep - and my stool was the ONLY clear spot left to work on! Ha!Ha!... and yup, I have drunk paint water and washed my brushes in coffee, so many times I had to stop putting paint water in coffee cups... Bigger Grin. I am loving the way hyour stretched canvas is turing out... can't wait to see the finished product. Don't you just love how these pieces seem to take us on a creative journey and end up looking so different than where we started? Thanks for the visit yesterday and Happy belated WOYWW! from Lynne in Canada #51

great looking canvases. isn't it funny how light has such an influence on the colors! I have drank out of my paint cup before so only use plastic frosting containers now. It isn't tasty at all! Thanks for visiting my desk earlier. Have a great week. Vickie #11

Looks like you've been in the ZONE of crafting. I know how it gets once you get going. Who wants to stop to put things away? HOw boring is that when you can just make more!? HA! Here's hoping you find a creative balance! Have a crafty week!
