It's Paint Party Friday and I am late to the party!

I'm so happy to make it in time for the last couple hours of
Thank you as always to our wonderful hostesses
Kristen and Eva who keep this weekly
world-wide blog party happening.

Original collage I made for the background.
This week has been an electronic mess for me.
First off, my Comcast router is sporadically going offline
It's an easy fix, get a new router,
however that would need me to call Comcast,
something I really dread.

Next I had to dump Picasso off my computer which in return
dumped all my pictures with it.
It's a good idea to google yourself or your art name to see what is being posted out there.
Picasso had randomly put out online pictures that I would not want to be the ones to identify me as an artist.

So I have no idea what program I am using in Windows something and it has been very frustrating.
So here is my latest painting.

This is the only picture of my collage painting
that I am able to find.
I did have three more pics and a couple good photos
of my hummingbirds too.

So here is my post and I want to cry!
Can anyone help me with a free image program
or with the Microsoft Program that I cannot even find a name for.

I feel so frustrated yet things could be so much worse.
At least I will have more pictures for next week's PPF!!!

Hope everyone is having a GREAT PPF,
and a WONDERFUL weekend!

Sorry to hear you are so upset, that's not good. You can alter the settings with Google programmes so that they don't put things online etc, and the windows photo one is usually paint. I get along well with both of them. Hope things get better, your art is lovely, as always. Have a great weekend, hugs, Valerie

What a bummer! I've used Picassa for years and love it! Not sure how it caused you problems! Love the art you are sharing here! Hope your days get easier!

Hi Rasz, sorry to hear about all the frustrations you've been having with electronics - sometimes I wonder how much time we waste trying to get these things to just work! we had a similar problem with our router recently and our wifi just kept dropping out - so annoying. four long telephone calls to our provider later and we finally got a new router but only because our contract was due for renewal and we said we's stay with them if they sent a new one! I hope you get your photos sorted out. I'm not really sure what you mean - is it storage? I just save them in a file on my laptop rather than on picasso or anywhere like that as I don't trust them when they can just post them online randomly like that and I used Windows Digital Image suite 2006 Editor which is basic but does what I need for cropping, fixing exposure etc. Love your portrait and thank you for such a lovely comment on my blog. have a great weekend.

first of all that is such a wonderful collage background-and I like it just like that! Your face painting is so lovely. So sorry to hear of all your PC problems. Not too sure what you're looking for but I have Photoshop Elements 10 that I use but I also use Pic Monkey for collaging, cropping, etc. and have not had any trouble with this free site. Although I should be more vigilant about it, I try to update photo files etc. to an external hard drive in case something would go wrong with my computer. As for my art I also keep copies on CDs. Hope the rest of your weekend goes much better. Happy PPF!

Oh I love your girl, she is so wonderful and ethereal. I don't know a lot about the technical side of things, sorry. I hope you get everything worked out.

Rasz, your collage background and the face portrait are both wonderful additions to the party this week. I'm so glad you made it. I use Photoshop Elements. I think it is about $100 but I haven't priced it lately. I have also used pixlr.com which is free but doesn't have as much to offer as PSE. Guess what? I have had problems with Comcast this week too. I was able to get things straightened out with a phone call, which went through surprisingly fast to a very knowledgeable woman. (Not the usual scenario!) Hope your weekend is a happy one. Thanks for your encouraging comments on my blog.

Love your painting, Rasz!
I tend not to put my photos in online programs as Picasa. My dad had a similar problem once. Hope you find a solution soon. <3

I used to use Photo Bucket for my pictures. I still use it for button or things of the sort, but when it comes to pictures for the blog I rather keep them on my computer, which gives me more control. I've had some rather frustrating experience with free programs. Most of the time, when they go crazy, there is nothing one can do... but started at all the ruined posts.

It sure sounds frustrating, and I do hope you found a solution for this. I always store everything on my computer, and then I make backups regularly. Love the collage you made for a background, and the painting is beautiful...

We've been dropping off line here in Canada and our Wifi is odd too the last few weeks.... So give it a chance to repair. Lots happening in the world we have no idea about! Sometimes all they have to do is reset it from their end!! Are your photos in the folder library in windows under pictures? I have windows ten on a laptop but still have no idea how to use all the functions. So I stick to my pc with older windows for photo storage! Try google picasa when you are signed into your blog. Everything is there that was there before.... make sure you spell it right picasa not picasso... I hear your frustration girl...I often feel the same.. Your background is awesome as it your sweet girl!! Hope all these comments help you find some resolve! Wishing you the best!!
