it's okay to...

My theme for today has been "it's okay to..."
A simple reminder for me to be gentle with myself.

It's okay for me to change my mind on backgrounds:
This and this...

To this...
and this

And it's okay to take my time creating.

over a week ago:

becoming this by Saturday...

to this today:...

I drew other reminders in ink and colored pencil of "it's okay to..."

I am going to carry this theme of "it's okay to..." into the new week.
What do you need to be reminded of "it's okay to..."?

Have a Fabulous Week!

I love this post. I think we all need this in our lives. Permission to just be who we are and not have to try to live up to extreme expectations, mostly that we put on ourselves. At least that is what I do. I need to say, it's okay to simply enjoy each day, not try to hurry to the next thing, because I have so much to do, on my "to do" list. Thank you for the reminder. I love your series of pictures, giving yourself permission. You are a truly lovely person.
Big hugs to you, my friend. :)
Have a blessed and beautiful day!

I love this affirmation. And I have to say that it is the one good thing about getting older--you can accept this SO much easier, and feel good about yourself and not feel the need to explain yourself to anyone.

Hi Heather! I like your theme "it's okay to simply enjoy each day, not try to hurry to the next thing, because I have so much to do, on my "to do" list". Now that's a good one I need to remember. And "it's okay to be who we are" is wonderful too! I started this because I was not feeling like "it" was "okay" as I have not gotten done what I wanted to in these past couple weeks. I needed a reminder that "it's all okay"!

Hi Diane! Thank you...I agree. As I get older I am trying to let go of the need to continually be Super Woman (not that I did it very well to begin with)and remember who I really am, what my needs are, and yes to let go of the need to explain myself...I am so excited to try your wonderful technique in your blog post yesterday.

Great post! And, your changes to your paintings are very interesting! Can't wait to see them all done. It's fun to see where your mind takes you ;o) How about, it's ok, to have a bald spot on your head??? ;o) I'm serious ;o) Don't laugh ;o) Have a great day! Oh, I have to say, I love your ladies! Beautiful!
