finding creativity...

This morning I played around with recycling my old clean-up paper towels into new backgrounds for something else creative.
I felt so content just looking at all the colors, smoothing the gel medium on with my fingers and listening to my favorite Pandora station

For me, colors, music and getting my hands REALLY messy gets me inspired.

What helps you find your creativity and inspiration?

And on the subject of creativity, today's Shout-Out goes to the Silhouettes tribute to America!

The beginning of this video is the intro from the show America's Got Talent, then the performance begins.
The Silhouettes are an amazingly creative dance troupe.

Have a Terrific Tuesday!

I too have really enjoyed the Silhouettes. My favorite thus far is Anna Graceman.

It depends on what I am wanting to be creative or inspired to do.

To Write songs or poetry I love to listen to Hank Williams, Merle Haggard, George Jones, or Porter Wagner.

To teach theology then I like to read or listen to good teaching.

I don't paint, sew, draw, or dance so I don't need any stimuli for those things, it wouldn't work anyways.

I think I get inspired by looking at a blank piece of paper, true :) Looking at other art, watching people, and reading blogs like this :) Going in challenges (sometimes) just be open to any spark that takes m interest, sometimes everything, & sometimes nothing LOL!

Thanks for coming by my blog ;o) Now I found you too ;o) I don't know how I get inspired? Isn't that weird, ideas just pop into my mind! I know, I love to paint mostly at night time. I think it's because my mind is at rest. A lot of times too, I dream what I am going to paint.

My creativity is inspired when I play my guitar. And watch movies. What can I say?

I am always inspired by nature. I also get inspired by other creative people. I'm really enjoying seeing your creativity blossom. :) Your recycled paper towel art is amazing.

I love the way painted paper towels look. They look like antique paper. One of the best sparks for my creativity is Somerset Studio and it's sister publications, like Artful Blogging, and Where Women Create. Also, visiting the blogs of other creative women such as yourself :) Great post! Hugs, Terri
